Data Collection
GPX Trail Tales does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external
servers. All your data stays on your device.
What we store locally on your device:
- GPX route files you import
- Custom markers you create
- Photo markers (stored locally)
- App preferences (units, theme)
What we do NOT collect:
- Personal information
- Location data
- Usage analytics
- Crash reports
- Any data transmitted to external servers
Third-Party Services
GPX Trail Tales uses Apple Maps for satellite imagery and 3D terrain. Apple's privacy
policy applies to their map services: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Photos
When you add photo markers, the app reads GPS metadata from your photos to place them
on the map. Photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
Screen Recording
The screen recording feature uses Apple's ReplayKit. Recorded videos are saved to your
device and shared only when you choose to export them.
Children's Privacy
GPX Trail Tales does not collect any data from users of any age.
