Your location data stays on your device and is used only to show your position and find nearby points of interest. We retrieve weather data for all Wainwright locations but do not collect or store your personal location data.

Lakes & Trails Lite ("App") is operated by The Geordie Hiker Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information.

Summary

We collect minimal data. Your progress and preferences stay on your device. We use Google Analytics to understand which features are popular so we can improve the app. We don't sell your data to anyone.

  - Wainwright completion progress - which peaks you've marked as complete

  - Completion dates - when you marked each peak as complete

  - App preferences - your settings and preferences

  - Onboarding status - whether you've completed the welcome screens

  This data remains on your device and is not accessible to us. If you

  delete the app, this data is permanently deleted.

  1.2 Analytics Data (Google Analytics for Firebase)

  We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage data to

  help us understand how the app is used and improve it. This includes:

  - Pages/screens viewed - which sections of the app are most popular

  - Feature usage - which features are used most frequently

  - Session duration - how long the app is used

  - App crashes and errors - to help us fix bugs

  - Device type and OS version - to ensure compatibility

  - Country/region - general geographic location (not precise location)

  This data is anonymous and aggregated. It cannot identify you personally.

  We cannot see individual user activity or link analytics data to any

  specific person.

  5.1 Opt-Out of Analytics

  You can limit analytics collection by:

  - Enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" in your iOS Settings

  - Disabling analytics in iOS Settings > Privacy > Analytics

  5.2 Delete Your Data

  To delete all local data, simply delete the app from your device. All your

   progress and preferences will be permanently removed.

  5.3 Access Your Data

  Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to

  provide. Your progress data is stored locally and visible to you within

  the app.

  The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect

  any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child

  has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will

  delete it.
